Sacrifice and Discipline

Sacrifice and Discipline
To accomplish any goal there is some sort of sacrifice required and alot of discipline. You will have to sacrifice your feelings, your time, your favorite food and so on. Like we talked about in last podcast, you will need to change your habits, which takes discipline. Discipline to stay strong, to stick with the new routine you are trying to establish. To not give up.....
Sacrifices:
Mothers continuously sacrifice the betterment of themselves in order to meet the needs of their children and their significant other.
People sacrifice time with their families to further themselves in their job, or to pick up extra shifts to make ends meat.
People who’s loved ones have been in a serious accident and they have sacrificed their job, there life, in order to care for their loved ones or nurse them back to health.
People have had to sacrifice friendships and there social life in order to obtain a healthier lifestyle.
All of these sacrifices are admirable, but sometimes we need to put ourself first to become physically, mentally and even emotionally stronger, in order to excel at these tasks. Especially when others are depending on us.
In the short term it might seem difficult or unnerving to have to sacrifice something you really like or even love in order to better your life.  But when you think about the long term, are mothers good to anyone especially their children if they aren’t taking care of themselves or getting enough sleep, if you are not exercising daily, eating a balanced diet, staying healthy and keeping your strength up then how do you expect to care for another who depends on solely you.  As far as friendships, if they were true friends then they would respect you trying to better your life and support you trying to live a healthier lifestyle. IF THEY DON’T, THEN THERE NOT TRUE FRIENDS.   You need to weed out all the negative influences that stop you from being the you, that you want and need to be.
1.    Sacrifice: a giving up of something valuable or important for somebody or something else considered to be of more value or importance

In order to make your sacrifices valid and worth while you must have a
Strong sense of self discipline in order to stick with the sacrifices you have
Made and to stand up for them and stick by them.
2. Self-Discipline: ability to motivate self: the ability to do what is necessary or sensible without needing to be urged by somebody else
  1.  Training and control of oneself, one's conduct and ones feelings usually for personal improvement.
